The Teija Vartiainen x Finsket collaborative collection was born from a desire to combine the distinctive expression of an emerging designer with Finsket’s bold and sustainable design. The collaboration is the result of the YFD x Paapii & Finsket pattern design competition. Explore the products from the Teija Vartiainen x Finsket collection.
The Basaltti pattern draws its inspiration from geological layers and the playful flow of watercolour.
The pattern is digitally printed on this interlock jersey fabric. With digital printing technology, it is possible to create photo realistic surfaces and multicoloured patterns. The fabric surface feels smoother and more even than jersey produced with traditional printing techniques.
Interlock fabric is created by knitting two pieces of fabric together. Finsket's interlock fabric is made of cotton. As a double-knit fabric, it is thicker and more absorbent than typical knit fabrics. The fabric is produced with two interlocking rows of stitches, giving it a durable yet soft and smooth texture.
Made of 100% organic cotton, Finsket's interlock fabrics are manufactured in Europe for Finsket, in a factory certified by GOTS and OEKO-TEX. The GOTS certification ensures that the fabric is organic and ethically produced from start to finish. OEKO-TEX certification assures that the fabric is safe for sensitive skin.
You can use interlock fabrics in clothes, like t-shirts, dresses, baby’s wear or sportswear. But you can also use interlock textiles for your DIY projects. The thick yet soft and breathable interlock fabric is great for making scarves, beanies and mittens.
Remember to add sewing threads that match the shades of the jersey fabric to your shopping cart!
