Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the digital service paapiidesign.com and was published on 5 June 2025. Our goal is to offer digital services that are accessible to all users. In this statement, we explain what accessibility issues exist and how you can provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Accessibility status of the digital service

This website partially meets the accessibility requirements. There are some shortcomings that we are working to correct as soon as possible. The assessment is based on an accessibility audit using Google Lighthouse.

Non-accessible content

1. Perceivable (WCAG 1.1 – 1.4)

  • Some images are missing alternative (alt) text.
  • Heading levels are inconsistent, particularly in inspiration pages and magazine articles.
  • Some text does not have sufficient contrast against the background.
  • Form fields on the checkout page may lack labels or have unclear labeling.

2. Operable (WCAG 2.1 – 2.4)

  • Keyboard navigation is not fully functional: focus order is incorrect, and some elements are not accessible without a mouse.
  • Focus sometimes moves to invisible elements, which may confuse screen reader users.
  • Some buttons and links are not programmatically marked correctly.

3. Understandability (WCAG 3.1 – 3.3)

  • Some content is in English even though the page language is set to Finnish.
  • Search fields and forms lack clear instructions and error messages.

4. Reliability(WCAG 4.1)

  • Assistive technologies do not always receive sufficient information about all elements (e.g. whether a menu is open or closed).

Content not covered by the legislation

  • Videos published before 23 September 2020
  • Third-party embedded content such as social media

Disproportionate burden

The site includes highly visual content and large volumes of product images. Making all images fully accessible (e.g. via alt text) may impose a disproportionate burden. Continuous improvements are being made.
