The project began with the goal of developing a more practical bedding solution for children in hospitals. The new quilt replaces the traditional combination of a blanket and a duvet cover, reducing the number of textiles that need to be washed, saving time, and lowering costs.
"The idea for the quilt arose from the experiences of large wellbeing services counties. The aim was to save both time and money. By introducing this new solution, duvet covers are no longer needed, reducing the range of hospital textiles. Cost savings come from washing one product instead of two. At the same time, cleaning staff save valuable time, which further reduces expenses. PaaPii Design was chosen because of its local roots, Finnish production, high quality, and truly beautiful prints, says Mervi Särkijärvi, CEO of Kokkopesu.
