Paapii’s merino wool interlock jacquard knitted dark grey and grey cardigan.
The inspiration for the pattern comes from the Hannunvaakuna or the Bear paw. The pattern is the work of Anniina Isokangas.
"The Hannunvaakuna, or the Bear Paw, exudes history, and we wanted to create our own pattern for Paapii based on it. In that mystical symbol, there is said to be a hidden protective power that was once believed in ancient times. It is said that the symbol was used to ward off evil spirits and bad luck. As a result, the Hannunvaakuna can still be found today, for example, on the walls of old buildings."
This long-sleeved cardigan features front panels that overlap in a hugging manner. The Finnish made merino wool cardigan is a reliable choice for various occasions, both everyday and special events. Wear this Finnish designer piece, for example, to work, to the theatre, or a dinner. The cardigan keeps you warm and merino wool is a breathable material suitable for year-round wear. Pair the merino wool cardigan with Paapii tunics for a complete look.
This women's cardigan, made in Finland, is lovingly sewn with solar energy at Paapii’s own sewing factory in Kokkola. The material is 100 % organic merino wool interlock jacquard knit. Interlock means that the yarns are locked inside the knit, so they don’t show on the outside of the fabric. This gives the material a smooth and luxurious look. The jacquard technique, where patterns are woven from various coloured threads, adds depth and beauty to the fabric.
